Publicity
Do you have a new product, interesting event or unique activity/class?
If you do, publicity can give you the exposure you need. A
feature story or teaser in the monthly Focus
newsletter will help publicize your event. The Focus is
distributed to MWR facilities, the PX and commissary, emailed
to FRGs and the MWR mailing list, as well as being available
online.

If you want coverage of your event by the NW Guardian or a
civilian newspaper, make sure you send us the information.
Work
Order Submissions
Work orders should be submitted in a timely manner to allow
proper development and effective deployment of media. At a
minimum publicity work orders should be submitted 6 weeks
prior to event date for the Fort Lewis Focus, and 2 weeks
prior for the Daily Bulletin, Northwest Guardian and Electronic
Readerboards.
Work orders
received within 72 hours of a pending event may not be completed.

Electronic
Readerboards
Large 8'x4' electronic readerboards are available at eight
locations on post to help spread the word about your facility
or special event. With thousands of cars passing through the
gates each week, Soldiers, civilians, retirees and family
members will have the chance to see your message. Two sided
readerboards are located at the Main Gate, North Fort Gate,
Madigan Gate, Bowl Arena and Nelson Recreation Center. Other
locations are DuPont Gate, Cascade Community Center and American
Lake Community Center.
