Fitness classes available include, but are not limited to:
Resistance training, free weight training, cardio training, abdominal classes, yoga, multi-level aerobics classes, in-the-field workouts, US Army physical readiness training, orientation to fitness and exercise classes, informational seminars, and group sessions.
Also available: Fitness analysis, body composition, personalized total workout plans, blood pressure tests, progression recording, exercise modifications, plateau breaking workouts, and client e-mail correspondence to keep you on your track to success.

Eileen Kelley Jensen Family Health & Fitness Center 966-2638
Eileen has been a fitness instructor since 1991 and a Personal Trainer with the Fort Lewis Sports, Fitness & Aquatics since 2001. She is a graduate of Montana State University with a B.S. in Physical Education (Exercise Science) with a minor in Nutrition, and holds certifications with Yoga Fit- Level 1; Personal Training (The Cooper Institute); U.S. Army Physical Readiness Training Leader Course; and with AFAA for Group Exercise, Step, and Kickboxing.

Dave Gomez Jensen Family Health & Fitness Center 966-1075
One of our newer members, Dave is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Weight Management Consultant and has a strong background as a Licensed Massage Therapist. A former Marine, Dave knows what it takes to stay in fighting shape and has a life mission to Teach, Motivate and Coach people towards fitness success for a healthier, fitter and more productive America.

Garnett has been a Personal Trainer with the Fort Lewis Sports, Fitness & Aquatics since April, 2000. His Certifications include; Personal Trainer through Cooper Institute, Group Exercise Instructor (AAFA), Kickboxing (AAFA), Nutrition Fundamentals (AAFA), Prenatal Fitness (AAFA), and the U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainers Course.

Sharon Morejon

Sharon, our newest instructor in the Fort Lewis Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Staff, has been teaching aerobics since 1987 and a Personal Trainer since 1999. Her certifications include: Revmaster Indoor Cycling; Personal Training (ACE); Group Exercise, Step Reebok, Kickboxing,and Tele-fitness (AAFA); and with The Cooper Institute for Personal Training, Biomechanics of Resistance Training, Nutrition, and Health Promotion.


Massage Therapy at Jensen Gym
Massage therapy is available by appointment at Jensen Family Health and Fitness Center, Building 2022. The licensed massage therapist specializes in a variety of styles and techniques. Call the facility for information on specific rates and services.

Active Duty Soldiers Work Out for FREE at Area YMCA's
Fort Lewis Soldiers have six sports & fitness centers on post to use….. but did you know that Soldiers and other active duty military assigned to Ft. Lewis can work out at six local YMCAs for free? Eligible military members can utilize any of six participating YMCAs in Tacoma and Olympia free of charge. It’s as simple as presenting your ID card and registering with the facility. Check with your local YMCA and ask for additional information about the Army’s BIC program or call Ronald Raymond, Ft. Lewis Sports & Fitness @ 967-2602. All branches of the military assigned and attached to Ft. Lewis are eligible to use this program. Reserves and National guard soldiers on active status and assigned to Ft. Lewis are eligible. Civilians are not eligible to participate in this program. Family members of eligible Active Duty Military must pay standard fees and charges.
