Especially Espresso offers three Fort Lewis locations. Each espresso bar has different operating hours to meet the needs of our customers. All serve hot and cold lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, machiattos and Italian Cream Sodas. The main bar, located at 12th and Liggett, serves Foccacia sandwiches, soups and salads.

Fort Lewis, Wash., located next to Seattle, the heartland of coffee country, proudly delivers an all new blend of gourmet coffee. Given the name Battle Bean, due to its birth as an Army MWR product, is now being sold directly by the Especially Espresso franchise. Coffee beans are purchased and the beans are deposited in our very own roasting house. The beans are freshly stored until they undergo a 17-20 minute roast prior to shipping or delivery. The duration of the roast is based on the degree of darkness best suited for each varietal, which originate from Colombia, Costa Rica and Sumatra. After that, the beans enter into our very own highly secret finishing process, a final step that truly prepares them for “battle.”

Especially Espresso would like to share this new Signature Blend coffee with the entire MWR community, including all military branches.
